Partnership Park in Portsmouth is to benefit from a new gateway area as works are carried out during the third phase of its development.
The work, on a 0.75-acre plot that has been vacant for several years, will significantly improve the look of the park as it fronts on to one of the busiest areas in Portsmouth.
South Coast commercial property specialists at Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), acting on behalf of the landlord, Portsmouth and SE Hampshire Partnership, have secured a new tenant for the plot, to move in once works are completed.
The development now has 16 modern units accommodating a range of larger brands and SMEs. Due to the park’s success, LSH has just one building left available to let – a 2,987 sq ft unit with fully fitted offices.
The works at Partnership Park, off Rodney Road in a prominent location close to The Pompey Centre and Fratton Park, mark Phase 3 of development, which has evolved into a thriving business park over the past decade.
Guy Jackson, Associate Director for the South Coast Industrial team at LSH, said: “This particular site has been vacant for a number of years and we are pleased to have been able to secure this redevelopment.
“The project will create a new gateway to the business park and the area in general, which is one of the most visited in Portsmouth given its proximity to Fratton Park and The Pompey Centre.
“The location has seen significant residential development in recent years and it will be great to see this vacant site given a new lease of life and create a more attractive area for the community.”
Martin Dennison, a board member at The Partnership, which is a charitable trust, said: “Partnership Park has been a real success story for Portsmouth as the site has been transformed into a modern and thriving business hub over the past decade.
“Phase 3 was the final piece of the jigsaw and we are delighted to have been able to secure this major investment in the park.”
The development is set to be completed within the next four months.
