A Redditch manufacturing business has taken a new ten year lease on its current home, owned by Pears Property, with the help of property agents John Truslove.
But already Redhill Manufacturing says it is “desperate” for more space.
With its 49,000 sq ft base at Units 2-6 Padgets Lane, it is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of access, storage and manual handling equipment, the likes of steps, work benches, trolleys, cabinets, lifters, and drum handlers.
Turnover is £4 million-plus and it employs 52 staff.
The firm supplies to industry, wholesalers and businesses across the UK, Europe and worldwide. The split is approximately 90 per cent UK to ten per cent overseas.
Redhill Manufacturing exports regularly to Ireland and Sweden, plus UAE, Italy and France.
Andy Colley, operations director, said: “This is not an expansion, although we are desperate for more space to continue our ongoing growth.
“Our extensive portfolio of British-made products is designed, manufactured and assembled in Redditch by highly skilled craftsmen.
“Every product we make is manufactured to the highest specification and UK quality standards, allowing us to control all aspects of the process from design to despatch and guarantee an excellent end result.
“Drawing on a capability that spans over 35 years, we offer unrivalled expertise, skills and resources in metal manufacture, producing over 3,000 standard products, as well as bespoke items. We believe our success is built on our exceptionally flexible approach to meeting customer requirements, combined with efficient service, manufacturing excellence and competitive pricing.”
Ben Truslove, a director of John Truslove, said: “It is great that Redhill Manufacturing have re-geared for another ten years on their existing site, demonstrating their commitment to Redditch. We will be taking steps to meet their growth needs in future. They are a fantastic established local business and continue to thrive, which is absolutely superb.
We have developed a great working relationship with Pears Property since they purchased the Estate earlier this year and I’m delighted we have been able to agree another lease extension.”
