The Birmingham office of national property experts GVA has advised on the acquisition of Osprey House at Pegasus Business Park, Leicestershire on behalf of client National Grid.
National Grid, which owns and operates much of the UK’s power infrastructure, has taken all 25,000 sq ft of Grade A space within the building on a 10 year lease.
Adjacent to East Midlands Airport and offering a unique combination of transport links, Osprey House has almost direct access from both the M1 at J32A and the A42, with the A50 and East Midlands Parkway Station – providing direct connections to London St Pancras – within a 10 minute drive time.
Adrian Griffith, Associate, GVA, said: “During our discussions with National Grid, it became clear that they had a prescribed set of requirements, including flexible space and connectivity, all of which has been met through Osprey House.
“With a central location enhanced through outstanding road, rail and air connections to locations both throughout the UK and overseas, we felt very strongly that Osprey House was the perfect solution for a prestigious, UK-wide company such as National Grid.”
Osprey House – which is owned by IM Properties – provides an outstanding working environment, with flexible floorplates across all three floors and plenty of natural light. In order to ensure that the building met National Grid’s requirements, GVA also secured planning permission to extend the building’s car parking facilities.
National Grid will be joining other occupiers at the popular business park, including Price WaterhouseCooper, Babcock International, Regus and E.ON.
