Staff from Colliers International’s Bristol office will be joining more than 30 colleagues from around the country for this year’s London to Paris charity cycle ride.
The property agents will be raising money for Cancer Research UK and the North West Children’s Support Group.
Bristol cycle squad leader, Sarah Davidson said the riders would be setting off from Colliers’ Marylebone Lane office on the morning of September 16 aiming to reach Newhaven the following day to take the ferry across the channel.
After a well-deserved rest in Dieppe the team will then be setting off again for two more challenging days of cycling across Northern France to reach Paris late afternoon on September 19 having covered more than 180 miles.
In true Colliers style there will be a big celebration in Paris that evening!
Sarah said: “We’ve been dividing our free time between training and raising sponsorship for these extremely worthwhile causes. The Bristol office is hoping to raise more than £1,200 to help towards an attempt to beat last year’s national total of nearly £16,000.”
Staff supporting the charity ride from the Bristol office will be Sarah, Katie Bapty, Chloe Spalding, Richard Wright, along with Nick Williams and Ben Jones who have decided to cycle tandem the entire journey!
Colliers International has established an enviable record for charity cycle rides with previous trips along the river Danube from Bratislava to Budapest, through Holland and Belgium, and across Northern Ireland.
Closer to home, the Colliers team took part in a 12 hour charity endurance cycle ride earlier this year around Queen Square in Bristol, raising more than £2,700.
