Leading global property consultancy Knight Frank has strengthened its award-winning industrial property team in Yorkshire with the appointment of Tom Goode.
Tom joins Knight Frank from Sanderson Weatherall in Leeds, where he worked for six years, first as a graduate surveyor and then as a senior surveyor in the corporate recovery, office agency and industrial property departments.
Tom, who studied geography at Northumbria University and estate management at the University of Reading, specialises in the disposal and acquisition of industrial, distribution and trade counter space, as well as commercial development opportunities in the Yorkshire region.
He commented: “I’m looking forward to working for an international consultancy and the exposure this offers and I hope to continue to build on Knight Frank’s regional industrial strengths.
“It is an extremely exciting time to be joining Knight Frank’s strong and experienced Yorkshire industrial team, as we are involved with some of the most high-profile buildings and development schemes in the region”.
Iain McPhail, partner in the industrial property team Henrie at Knight Frank’s Leeds office, said: “Tom’s appointment is good news for us. He is building a strong reputation within the industrial property market in Yorkshire and I am confident that the combination of his enthusiasm and his commitment will prove invaluable to Knight Frank.
“His appointment comes at an important time for our team. The industrial property market in Yorkshire remains strong, despite the post-Brexit fears. At the moment, we are advising on over one million sq ft of built distribution and industrial product in West Yorkshire alone as well as 150 acres of development land. We now offer a full, one-stop service to all our occupiers and clients.”
Rebecca Schofield, head of Knight Frank’s industrial property team in Yorkshire, said: “Tom will be working closely with our team in Sheffield, including myself and my colleague Tom Swallow. We are looking to build on our success of the past two years, when we have won a succession of regional and national awards, and Tom Goode will be an integral part of this.”
Knight Frank’s existing logistics and industrial clients in Yorkshire include Muse, Haworth Estates, Sterling Capitol, Waystone, Wykeland, Marshall CDP and IDI Gazeley.
