The White Building in Reading has attracted another tech success story to join its already established vibrant tech community.
Joining The White Building is ComponentSource, the world’s largest marketplace and community for reusable software components and development tools. It has a worldwide customer base of more than 1.1 million registered users and serves its 160,000 customers in 130 countries from offices in the USA, UK, Ireland and Japan.
Tom Fletcher, Head of property agent Lambert Smith Hampton’s Reading office explains “We have seen a community of ambitious fast growing companies within The White Building rapidly develop.”
ComponentSource have acquired part first floor being 4,163 sq ft on a 10 year lease at a rent of £34.50 per sq ft. This is The White Building’s 8th letting since its completion in early 2017 and now stands at an astonishing 73% let, with only two floors left available.
The seven-storey office building, located on Kings Road, is a short walk to the train station and boasts of fantastic amenities including an exceptional parking ratio, a large communal roof terrace, business lounge and concierge team.
Tom from LSH continues “Office supply in Reading town centre is fast reducing, with 271,000 sq ft transacting in 2017 and a further 90,000 sq ft already under offer in Q1 2018. With Crossrail’s Elizabeth line on the horizon, demand for Reading will only continue to increase.”
James Whitcher of Boultbee Brooks Real Estate says “We are pleased to welcome ComponentSource to The White Building where the community of like-minded ambitious companies continues to grow from strength to strength”.
