Specialist home care provider Helping Hands is relocating its head office from Alcester town centre to a new 19,500 sq ft premises on Arden Forest Industrial Estate.
Known as EIC House, Helping Hands has taken a ten-year lease on the prominent office building, previously occupied by Dynacast Ltd and more recently Electrical Industrial Contractors Ltd.
The new head office will enable Helping Hands to consolidate a number of smaller local offices and accommodate the continuing growth of the business.
The company is investing circa £750,000 on the fit-out of the office, which will include a call centre, meeting pods and training rooms.
Lance Turner, associate at Bruton Knowles in Worcester, advised Helping Hands on the acquisition and has been retained to acquire additional premises for the company in Worcester.
Bruton Knowles’ building consultancy team in Birmingham is project managing the fit-out of the new head office, which is due for completion in March.
Adrian Walsh, partner and head of the Building Consultancy team, said: “Helping Hands had outgrown its current head office premises and required more modern and better designed accommodation for its existing and expanding head office staff.
“The new space has been designed to provide high spec working environment with the facilities and amenities expected within a modern, well-designed and open-plan office environment.”
Helping Hands was founded in 1989 by Mary Lee and is now run by her sons, Tim and Ben Lee, following Mary’s retirement in 2007.
The company provides homecare services, from companionship to complex nursing-led live-in, across England and Wales and is widely acknowledged to be the country’s most respected provider of such services.
Helping Hands employs more than 3,500 staff across England and Wales and cares for in excess of 4,000 families every week. In the last four years, it has opened 60 home care branches across the UK.
