Following the success of MIPIM UK and MIPIM 2017, businesses in Leicester and Leicestershire are invited to join the growing line up taking the city to MIPIM in Cannes, the world’s biggest property event in 2018.
The city and county will be in Cannes again next year in order to attract leading developers and investors from across the globe – and market the region’s growing investment and development opportunities.
Driven by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP), Leicester City Council and private sector partners, Leicestershire has succeeded in establishing a recognisable presence in Cannes over the years. The private-public sector line up of Team Leicestershire has helped to reinforce the city and county’s message.
Rob McGuinn, chair of Team Leicestershire said: “We want to get as many Leicestershire businesses behind the MIPIM effort. Leicestershire will be taking up its place in the Midlands Pavilion for the second year in 2018. It’s a showcase of all the Midlands has to offer under one roof at MIPIM and is a great way to promote Leicestershire and your business to the world. The pavilion offers high quality events, speakers, profile and presence and our sponsors will absolutely be part of that.”
Sponsorship packages start at £2,000 and include access to the Midlands UK Pavilion Marquee, two places at the Leicester dinner, and two at the Team Leicestershire lunch. Sponsors will also get access to Leicester City Council officers for meetings and discussions.
Team Leicestershire’s current sponsors are: Brackley Property Developments, Built Environment Consulting, Couch Perry & Wilkes, Edward Cooper Young Chartered Surveyors, Freeths, Innes England, Leicester City Council, MDA Consulting, Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, Pick Everard, Curtins, East Midlands Airport, Abode, Mather Jamie, Godwin Developments, Westleigh Developments, MIRA, RG+P, TMDP Group, Loughborough University and Weightmans.
Rob added: “Team Leicestershire already has a great line up of sponsors keen to support the city and county. For the first time, we have created a limited company with a view to making the Leicestershire presence at MIPIM 2018 the strongest ever. We are encouraging more organisations to join us – to help us showcase all we have to offer at MIPIM, and tell the world about our initiatives and investment opportunities.”
