An intrepid team of Birmingham property professionals have successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge within the set timescale of 24 hours, raising £3,000 charity in the process.
DTZ Surveyors, Andrew Berry, Hannah Jones, Matt Long and Amy Harper together with Tom Burn took up the gruelling challenge which involves scaling the highest mountains in England (Scafell Pike), Wales (Snowdon) and Scotland (Ben Nevis).
The team, which was supported by driver, Phil Reynolds, also of DTZ, completed the challenge with half an hour to spare.
Funds raised will be donated to Wooden Spoon, a charity which supports a range of projects designed to improve life for disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK and Ireland through social and sporting events.
Hannah Jones, Senior Surveyor at DTZ commented: “What began as a spur of the moment decision on a cold winter’s day last year suddenly became very real when we were faced with a snow laden Ben Nevis.
“However, we are delighted with the total raised and would like to thank everyone who has dug deep and contributed as well as those who have supported us along the way.”
DTZ contributed to the total amount raised as part of its charity matching initiative. Donations can still be made by visiting: http://www.justgiving.com/6-3-24-1
