Birmingham independent commercial property agency KWB has sold an office building it previously surveyed, acquired, refurbished, let, managed, cleaned and advised on the business rates, in a series of transactions which involved nearly all the firm’s departments.
KWB’s Office Agency team advised Quartz Investments on the sale of its freehold investment in 1320 Solihull Parkway, a 26,000 sq ft office building at Birmingham Business Park in an off market deal.
Only 18 months previously KWB’s Office Agency and building surveying departments advised Quartz Investments on the purchase of the office building.
KWB Property Management took over the management of the building, collecting rents and service charges and maintaining the fabric of the building. KWB Corporate Cleaning was appointed on a contract to provide cleaning services for the common areas and the Rating Department managed and reduced rates payments for the new landlord.
Earlier this year (2017) the Office Agency team let 20,774 sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor to BCA Logistics, in what was then the largest office deal of 2017 in the Solihull and M42 corridor market.
KWB Workplace, KWB’s independent move management consultancy, project managed the landlord’s refurbishments for the ground floor and common areas and the specification and fit-out of 20,774 sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor for the incoming tenant BCA Logistics.
Nigel Tripp, director of KWB, says: “1320 Solihull Parkway really was the perfect deal for KWB and shows that we have one of the most comprehensive and integrated services offered by any Birmingham commercial property agency. Our client benefitted from all our teams working together, reducing the amount of management time spent on this investment.”
