Property advisers, Vail Williams LLP, has appointed valuations expert, Chris Wright, as associate to its Southampton office.
Specialising in property valuations, Wright joins Vail Williams from Lambert Smith Hampton, where he was Head of Valuation for the Solent region.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in the valuation of residential properties including development and investment portfolio valuations, and is experienced in working across all sectors of commercial property, including offices, industrial, and retail.
In a career spanning over 10 years, Wright has acted for a number of clients, including: Hampshire Trust Bank, on behalf of Pennyfarthing Homes, to value a proposed development for 145 houses in Fordingbridge; and Coutts, on behalf of Just Develop It Limited, to advise on the valuation of a residential and commercial property portfolio in Portsmouth and the surrounding area.
Speaking of his appointment, he commented: “I knew from experience of working with Vail Williams that they enjoyed an enviable reputation in the Solent market. Having recently won an award for client service at the South Coast Property Awards, I was confident that this would be a firm I’d enjoy working for.”
Vail Williams has enjoyed a period of strong growth in the Solent throughout 2017, which has seen the firm act on a number of high profile projects, including the multi-million industrial and warehouse development at Pioneer Park, Portsmouth.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck into my new role to help further enhance the company’s position – both in the regional market here, as well as nationally,” Wright continued.
Having qualified in 2010, Wright undertook his RICS valuations to cover panel secured lending, SIPPs and insolvency, and has provided strategic valuation advice to Insolvency Practitioners and LPA Receivers.
Mike Greenwood, Vail Williams’ Regional Managing Partner for the Solent, said: “Chris’ appointment marks another great addition to the firm, bringing the total team to 24 based across our Southampton and Portsmouth offices.”
“We remain absolutely committed to client service and growing our business by appointing only the most talented of advisers, such as Chris. He’s someone we see as having a great future ahead of him here at Vail Williams, and we look forward to working with him over the coming years,” concluded Greenwood.
