GVA has been appointed to provide a broad range of property and facility management services to Edmund House in Birmingham.
The recently refurbished 68,600 sq ft building, positioned on the corner of Newhall Street and Edmund Street, is currently 50% occupied by a number of professional service businesses including Gleeson, Woodrow Mercer and Vail Williams.
GVA will provide a full suite of property, facilities management and accounting services for the building, providing best value and ensuring that tenants are receiving the highest levels of customer service. The regional office agency team has also been appointed to Edmund House and will act as letting agents to secure new occupiers.
Guy Thompson, GVA, said: “The Midlands property market continues to evolve and as such the day-to-day experience of tenants has become more of a focus for property owners looking to appeal to new occupiers.
“Our appointment to Edmund House represents our third instruction for property management within the city core in as many month, hot on the heels of 1 Newhall Street and 118/120 Colmore Row; demonstrating the growing demand for our services in Birmingham.
“This is a great opportunity to review the current services at Edmund House to ensure that it is delivering the best possible experience for its tenants.”
GVA was appointed by asset managers, Clearbell on behalf of Edmund Investments Limited.
Dominic Moore, Head of Asset Management at Clearbell, said: “We have experience in working with GVA on a number of assets in the Midlands, including Belgrade Plaza in Coventry, and are very confident in the services they can provide at Edmund House. Having managed the building previously their knowledge, not just of the wider property market, but of the building itself is second to none and we look forward to working with them again going forward.”
In addition to offices, Edmund House also has award-winning Indian restaurant, Asha’s, on the ground floor alongside café, Coffee #1, which opened earlier this year.
