Hermes Investment Management, the £30.8 billion manager, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), have announced 80,000 sq ft of lettings at the recently refurbished Aldgate House, EC3.
TransPerfect Translations Limited, a leading enabler of global communications, will occupy 26,256 sq ft of space on the first floor, while Taboola Europe Limited, the world’s largest and most advanced online discovery platform, will occupy 26,248 sq ft of space on the second floor. ISG, a construction services company, has also agreed a second letting in the building, comprising 26,312 sq ft on the building’s seventh floor, as they continue to expand.
Situated in a highly prominent area in the City of London, Aldgate House is at the heart of a vibrant commercial quarter. The building has recently been refurbished to provide column-free accommodation completed to a Category ‘A’ equivalent.
Stephen Ellis, Asset Manager at Hermes Investment Management, said: “Aldgate is a very popular location within the City and the innovative refurbishment of the office space has made the building an attractive proposition for the creative, technology and media industry occupiers. We hope to build on the success of this recent flurry of lettings with the fourth floor which is available from Summer 2018.”
Hermes and CPPIB were advised by Gryphon Property Partners and JLL; Colliers International acted for TransPerfect; Search Office Space acted for Taboola; and Interior Services Group plc acted for themselves.
