The leading independent BMW and MINI specialist in Cambridgeshire is gearing up to move to new premises in Huntingdon in January (2018), confirms property agency Barker Storey Matthews who acted on behalf of developer, Barnack Estates Ltd.
Bartlett Automotive has secured a lease on Units 5 & 6 at Falcon Court at Hinchingbrooke Business Park which is almost double the size of its present accommodation on St Peter’s Road in the town.
The specialist automotive company recently opened a second service centre in Peterborough on a site also developed by Barnack Estates Ltd.
The move to the Falcon Court sees Bartlett Automotive occupy nearly 10,000 sq ft (actual 9,717 sq ft) of brand new accommodation on what it is Huntingdon’s first speculative industrial development for almost a decade.
Bartlett Automotive is moving to what it describes as its new ‘state of the art facility’ at Falcon Court to accommodate its rapid business growth in the three years since the business was set up (2014). In that time, its headcount has more than doubled to the point where now it has eleven full time staff.
Commenting on the move to the new premises in the new year, Bartlett Automotive Operations Director, Natalie Boyes Bartlett said, “Our new Huntingdon garage, together with the new Peterborough location, is part of a strategy to strengthen our position as the leading independent BMW and MINI specialists across Cambridgeshire.”
Bartlett Automotive is the latest occupier at Hinchingbrooke Business Park to be announced by Barker Storey Matthews who is the agent under instruction on both Falcon Court and its sister development there, Kingfisher Court.
Richard Adam, Director, Barker Storey Matthews, is leading the marketing of Falcon Court and Kingfisher Court from the property agency’s Huntingdon office and he advises, “We have had strong interest in both developments within Hinchingbrooke Business Park.
“We have several properties still available to lease at Falcon Court while at Kingfisher Court, five of a total of eight units are now under offer.”
