The Cardiff office of Bruton Knowles has appointed a new partner and head of office.
Adrian James has now taken over the reins at the highly-respected commercial property agents, as it looks to widen its offer across the Welsh property scene.
Adrian, who comes from Barry and currently lives in Whitchurch, brings over 35 years’ experience to the Newport Road-based office, including valuation work, acquisition and disposal, agency and property management.
Originally starting in residential property back in 1982, Adrian has worked across the commercial / industrial agency and management sectors, and has an in-depth knowledge of local authority property management having worked at both Cardiff and Swansea Councils. He was also Head of Property Services at Welsh Water.
Notable high-profile projects which Adrian has worked on includes the sale of Ninian Park, building of the Cardiff City Stadium, compulsory purchase orders which resulted in the building of St David’s 2 and highway acquisitions for the Bute tunnels.
He now plans to grow the Bruton Knowles profile and strengthen its proposition particularly to local authorities in respect of acquisitions, disposals, portfolio reviews and investment properties.
Adrian said: “There is a good quality team here at Bruton Knowles and I was keen to come back into a team management role.
“The scope and breadth of the team’s expertise is also very exciting and makes for a very appealing and compelling case for any business needing an experienced hand for any of its commercial property needs.
“Bruton Knowles also has a very good name nationally, especially in the social housing and compensation sectors and is something we’ll be looking to strengthen.”
