Else Solicitors in Burton on Trent has increased the size of its offices following the move into an adjacent office unit on First Avenue.
The move comes on the back of a year of successful growth, which has seen the firm win a dealmaker of the year award for its part in a recent corporate finance transaction, as well as a significant improvement in its position in the legal 500 rankings. The firm has also increased employee numbers to 35 staff, with a further four new appointments due to be announced in 2018.
The new offices will provide Else Solicitors with a further 1800sqm of space and enable the creation of a new client reception area, additional meetings rooms and further office space upstairs.
Else Solicitors provides legal advice to companies who are wanting to buy or sell businesses or commercial property, or have an employee or contractual dispute, and then offer private client services such and Wills, probate and lasting powers of attorney to its Directors. Adopting this approach ensures personal affairs dovetail with the company legal documentation. In order to facilitate this and improve client service further, the corporate, commercial property and private client teams will transfer into the new offices.
Commenting, Tracey Marsh, Practice Manager said, “We simply had to take on new office space as there was no further room to increase our head count. The new offices have allowed us to re-organise teams and locate them in open plan office space where they will benefit from the ability to communicate and work more closely together.”
Managing Partner, Chris Else added, “It’s been another great year for the firm and I’m really proud of what we have achieved as a team since the firm was founded in 2003. We will be celebrating our 15 year anniversary in November 2018, and the new offices will give us the space we need to continue our plans for expansion. We act for some really high-profile brand names, both locally and nationally, and we needed to ensure the physical presence of our brand reflected the calibre of client we are now attracting.”
The lease of the new offices was negotiated by Commercial Property Consultants, Salloways, and means that Else Solicitors now has two offices units next to each other on First Avenue. Debt recovery, litigation and the finance/admin teams will remain in the existing building, and corporate, commercial property and private client teams will relocate to the new offices.
