The £150m Bridgwater Gateway development has been identified as a key new UK logistics hub.
The business park, set in 100 acres off J24 of the M5, has been highlighted as an emerging scheme with a good supply of labour within a 25 mile drive in the Autumn 2017 UK Industrial & Logistics Market Barometer published by global commercial property specialist Colliers International.
Tim Davies, head of the Industrial & Logistics team for the South West at Colliers International, said: “Bridgwater Gateway is right up there as one of the major new developments in the UK for Industrial & Logistics, and the sheer scale of it is very much apparent in the latest UK Industrial & Logistics Market Barometer.
“Bridgwater Gateway is shown as one of the largest emerging industrial sites in the UK which has speculative new build availability or availability to build immediately.
“In addition, Bridgwater Gateway is shown to have the advantage of being an industrial employment hotspot, as it is located in an area with a 25,000 workforce within a 25-mile radius.”
Final infrastructure work is now on site at Bridgwater Gateway, which is being marketed by Colliers International and will feature a range of high-quality modern office and commercial buildings.
Phil Wade, Development Manager for Bridgwater Gateway, said: “The fact that Bridgwater Gateway has been identified as a key new UK logistics hub underlines the huge significance of this scheme.
“The commercially advantageous combination of a highly-accessible location at J24 of the M5 and availability of a major workforce within easy driving distance have resulted in interest from a wide range of potential occupiers.”
