Truck drivers and farmers in Wales are getting access to a vital new fuelling facility thanks to Oil 4 Wales.
The nation’s leading oil distributor has invested £70,000 in a truck stop at its Brecon depot, in a bid to provide 24-hour facilities for Wales’s haulage and agricultural industries.
Oil 4 Wales, which supplies 160,000,000 litres of fuel to over 65,000 customers across the nation, will provide diesel, red diesel and Adblue via the pumps at the Three Cocks site.
In a bid to make it even more convenient, the new truck stop accepts all fuelcards on the Keyfuels system. If drivers currently don’t have a Keyfuel Fuel Card they are welcome to contact Oil 4 Wales’s Fuel Card department on 02920 674917 for further information in obtaining one. These are free from Oil 4 Wales, subject to terms and conditions.
Director Sally Owens said the latest launch would provide “urgently needed” facilities for drivers and farmers in and around the Brecon area.
She said: “We are delighted to have launched this new truck stop in Three Cocks providing vital support for Wales’s agricultural and haulage industries.
“As a company we are proud to work for the community, and with the community, so we are extremely pleased to be providing these essential facilities in Brecon. This has been a project we have been passionate about for some time, after recognising the need for 24-hour facilities servicing those travelling in the area.
“The new site is fully equipped with all types of diesel, including those suitable for agricultural vehicles, as we aim to support drivers and communities across Wales. We hope our new truck stop becomes an invaluable source of support for thousands of heavy duty drivers travelling through Brecon annually.”
The latest launch concludes a highly successful year for the leading oil distributor. Earlier this year Oil 4 Wales reported a turnover of £110 million in its latest financial results, up from £90 million in the previous year.
It also invested over £500,000 in providing Wales’s communities with significantly enhanced facilities which directly benefit its loyal customers.
Oil 4 Wales invested £200,000 into the redevelopment of its owned and operated petrol station in Maesteg, which provided significantly enhanced facilities including a total redesign of the shop and the development of a modern and spacious new café.
Facilities were also improved at its depot in Powys thanks to a £300,000 investment, which enabled the site to become fully bottom loading to serve the local farming community more efficiently.
During the year, the independent oil distributor also recruited 27 new members of staff, reaffirming its commitment to employing local people across its depots in Cardiff, Carmarthen, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Newtown, Lampeter, Maesteg, Brecon and Pembroke Dock.
Alongside its staff and brand expansion, Oil 4 Wales has also strengthened its support for charitable and agricultural causes, attending 17 events, including shows, ploughing matches, muck and slurry events.
