Flourishing North Leeds-based kitchen design studio Arlington Interiors Ltd are relocating to brand-new, state-of-the-art showroom premises in Farsley, between Leeds and Bradford.
After more than 13 years of successful trading from their current showrooms in Limewood Road in Seacroft, Arlington Interiors are moving to the iconic Sunny Bank Mills complex.
Head designer Hayley Reid explained: “When the opportunity arose to take over a newly refurbished 4,000 sq. ft. retail unit in the old textile mill Sunny Bank Mills, we felt it was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”
Established in 1829, Sunny Bank Mills had a reputation as one of the finest cloth producers in the world. Since 1917 it has been owned by the Gaunt family, and is now run by the sixth generation of Gaunt, cousins John and William.
Sunny Bank Mills has previously been a set for the filming of Emmerdale and Heartbeat, and since 2010 has undergone a multi-million regeneration into a base for a number of artistic and creative businesses.
William Gaunt explained: “In much the same way as we produced the highest quality cloth, so we approach the regeneration of Sunny Bank Mills, to produce buildings of we can be justly proud.”
Arlington Interiors will be located in the heart of a very successful retail wing of the mill complex.
The company will have eleven kitchens by Kuhlmann and Sheraton on display, with appliances by Miele, Siemens and Neff. Sinks and taps will be by Zip, Quooker and Caple with worktops by Silestone, Dekton and Corian.
Hayley Reid commented: “We’re so excited to be involved with such a forward-thinking project. The Gaunts have the vision to make Sunny Bank Mills and consequently Farsley even more of a destination than it already is. The building is absolutely beautiful with so many original features and we think it suits our design ethos perfectly.”
Arlington Interiors will move into their new showrooms before Christmas, with plans for a grand opening weekend to be announced for early February.
