Real Estate Investors plc (REI) has announced one of the largest office lettings of the year in the East Midlands.
The AIM-listed real estate investment trust has let just over 14,000 sq ft in Peat House, Leicester, to Charles Alexander Distribution.
The Leicester-based distributor of promotional merchandise has taken the whole of the first floor and part of the second at a new rental high for Peat House of £13.75 per sq ft.
This latest deal means the 43,437 sq ft building is now fully let. Other tenants include Bellrock FM who occupy 21,715 sq ft, and accountants KMPG in the remainder.
Ian Clark, REI’s senior asset manager, said: “The latest letting came after substantial investment from the landlord into the office space and reception area, creating Grade A office space that represents exceptional value.
“The deal was completed in just two months from initial viewing to completion, and is testament to both sides for ensuring the deal happened so quickly,” he said.
Agents Phillips Sutton advised REI. Legal advice to REI was provided by Shakespeare Martineau.
