A global supply chain has moved its UK head quarters to New Zealand Court in Derby, in a deal secured by Innes England and Peter Clarke & Co.
The Derby property agents acted jointly in the letting of two warehouse units, totalling 15,070 sq ft at Kingsway Industrial Park, to Food Search Worldwide Ltd (FSW), operating within the Global Food and Non Food Supply Chain, Storage and Distribution markets.
The company, which is part of the Elbar Worldwide Group of Companies, sources food and non food products from around the world on behalf of its major branded high street retailers and food restaurants chains.
The buildings at New Zealand Court were constructed approximately ten years ago and provide good quality modern warehouse space with ancillary fully fitted offices situated within a fenced courtyard.
Food Search Worldwide has taken the premises on a new five-year lease with a stepped rent pattern. Tim Richardson from Innes England says: “The property met FSW’s requirement for good quality modern premises with easy access to the major road networks. All parties worked hard to agree terms and document the lease within a tight timescale.”
Gary Haslam, managing director from Food Search Worldwide said: “Our business has been growing rapidly since 2008, and we are now expanding. We are experiencing massive growth, and we needed a new base to accommodate us. New Zealand Court was ideal for us, as all of our employees live in a ten mile radius. We were previously based at a site in Foston, we have taken six staff with us and are employing four more. The main reason for choosing New Zealand Court was its excellent road networks. It’s close to the A38, A50 the M6 one way and the M1 the other way – so logistically it’s ideal.”
