West Indies and global cricketing star and batsman extraordinaire Sir Viv Richards and former England Cricket team Captain Michael Vaughan are amongst the cricketing greats taking to the stage at The Lord’s Taverners annual flagship fundraising event later this month.
The 2012 Eve of Edgbaston Test Dinner at the Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Edgbaston, on the 31st May, will be hosted by commentator and broadcaster, Jonathan Agnew, and this year will celebrate all that is great about test matches between England and the West Indies.
Rising star on the after dinner circuit, Josh Daniels, will add some humour on the night, and help compere the fundraising raffle and auction at the event.
Simon Gill, Regional Chairman for The Lord’s Taverners in the West Midlands, and a Partner at law firm Gateley, Birmingham, said: “Our Eve of Test Match Dinner is always a great night for entertainment, generous donations and phenomenal fundraising.
“We are thrilled that Sir Viv Richards, Michael Vaughan and Aggers are able to join us for this very special event, which we hope will once again raise a substantial sum to help The Lord’s Taverners continue to deliver projects that support disadvantaged young people and grass roots cricket.”
