Colliers International’s Monique Royle has been awarded a seat aboard the RICS Transitionary Governing Council, following a vote held amongst the UK membership of the Institution.
Monique is one of 17 UK-based members of the profession elected to sit on the Council, receiving 1,957 votes from fellow members, making her 7th out of the 32 candidates who ran for one of the 17 available seats. Monique was the only candidate from the West Midlands to run for a seat and is the only candidate working within the Licensed and Leisure sector.
RICS sets the vision and strategy for the chartered surveying profession and the Governing Council meets twice a year to debate top-level strategy and once to exercise oversight. The Council is chaired by the president and includes members from all world regions.
Monique Royle is a Director in Colliers International’s Licensed and Leisure team and specialises in the valuation of most leisure properties including pubs, function venues and coaching inns for secured lending purposes, accounts, SIPPS, etc. Outside of her role at Colliers International, Monique is chair of the RICS West Midlands Regional Board and a Trustee of DanceXchange, a Midlands-based dance organisation and charity.

Royle’s term of office on the Transitionary Governing Council begins on 8 November 2017 and will end in March 2019.
