Energetics pledges support to bring spark to West Midlands 2012 CIBSE May Ball

Multi-utility connections specialist, Energetics, has pledged its support for one of the biggest events in the regional property industry’s social calendar.

The company, which is currently providing a new high voltage energy supply to New Street Station as part of the £600 million New Street Gateway project, has been announced as headline sponsor of the West Midlands 2012 Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) May Ball.

Held at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham on Friday 18 May, the Ball is billed as an excellent opportunity for CIBSE members across the region to get reacquainted with their business partners as well as building new business relationships in relaxed surroundings.

Dave Thompson, Head of Projects for Energetics, said: “The CIBSE May Ball has gained a loyal following over the years and is attended by leading manufacturers and industry representatives.  Talking to engineering experts and finding out exactly what our customers want is an essential part of Energetics’ ongoing expansion strategy; and as we are increasingly focusing on the Midlands from our office and depot in Coleshill, North Warwickshire, sponsorship of the Ball was a perfect fit.”

Nigel Marriott, Honorary Secretary of CIBSE, added: “We feel very privileged to have such a reputable company such as Energetics supporting this year’s May Ball.  Even in the current economic climate, we still have great support from organisations which will benefit from the social and networking opportunities our events facilitate.”

Energetics owns and operates more than 1,000 utility networks across the UK.  It competes with the likes of Western Power Distribution, Scottish and Southern Energy and UK Power Networks, providing an end-to-end utility service for residential, industrial and commercial developments.
