CWC Group, owners and developers of Castlewood Business Park, a 120 acre scheme in a prime position adjoining Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway at its intersection with the A38, have confirmed details of their latest deal on the site.
A deal has been completed with The Kay Group (UK) Ltd for them to open a petrol filling station to complement their nationwide stock which will be augmented by both food and café retailers. Indeed, whilst a major brand petrol filling station will run the site, it will be augmented by both Costa Coffee and Greggs to provide a terrific benefit for both passing traffic and indeed occupiers already on the business park.
To be pitched at the entrance to Castlewood Business Park, this will provide a much needed amenity for the remaining land to be developed at Castlewood which totals around 50 acres, ideal for any expanding industrial or distribution company looking to buy or purchase bespoke space, whilst The Kay Group can take advantage not only of trade from existing occupiers at the business park but also from the thousands of cars that pass this plot along the A38 heading towards Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway on a daily basis.
The deal was agreed by Tim Gilbertson of FHP, CWC’s agent for the site who commented:
“With numerous existing petrol filling station outlets around the country, The Kay Group are an ideal partner for us to have at Castlewood Business Park and we know that their venture here will trade exceptionally well.
Whilst they can take advantage not only of the on-site labour with approximately 2,000 staff already working from Castlewood, they can also take advantage of this fantastic trading position adjoining the A38 close to its intersection with Junction 28 of the M1 Motorway.
To have a petrol filling station, plus food and drink outlets on-site is a real boon for the business park and we are sure that The Kay Group will trade exceptionally well from this location.
This development is hopefully yet another reason for local businesses to expand onto Castlewood Business Park and we look forward to unveiling details of further deals on the site in the near future. With the ability to house bespoke freehold or leasehold premises for industrial or distribution use from as little as 15,000ft² up to 175,000ft² interest continues in this great location which has now seen over 1.25 million sq. ft. built out already.”
Ken Kay, CEO and Paul Blackmore of The Kay Group commented:
“We are delighted to be working with CWC to have the opportunity to further expand our new to industry investment rolling programme to this prestigious and strategic location.
With our unique standards of development, facilities and most importantly, outstanding levels customer service along with the benefit of bringing our branded retail partners with us, will give great credit to CWC’s vision for the Business Park.”
Director for CWC Group, owners and developers of Castlewood Business Park, James Richards, commented:
“We are so happy to welcome The Kay Group to Castlewood as we see the facility that they will open here being of benefit to the rest of the business park, hopefully encouraging further occupiers by the amenity that will be provided.
The Kay Group have been a pleasure to deal with throughout and we look forward to seeing them fully open by early 2018.”
