Aprirose, the UK-based real estate investment company, has announced two new senior hires following a raft of recent high profile transactions. Peter Davies has been appointed as Head of Property and Soraya Shamji will take the role of Senior Vice President, Asset Management and Hotels.
Peter joins Aprirose from Ashmore Group, a specialist Emerging Markets investment manager, where he was Global Head of Real Estate. He started his career at Daniel Watney, subsequently working at London Docklands Development Corporation, ING Real Estate and Goodman. With over 25 years’ experience including acquisitions, portfolio management and asset management, Peter has worked across a variety of asset classes across Europe.
Soraya was previously Vice President, Hotels and Leisure at Hudson Advisors before joining Aprirose. Specialising in the hotels sector Soraya has previously worked at The Royal Bank of Scotland, Colliers International and CBRE Hotels. She has a broad range of experience including acquisitions, disposals, capital expenditure, and project management across all aspects of investment and asset management.

Aprirose’s recent acquisitions include the 73 asset M&B Pub portfolio, and the QHotels portfolio for £525 million.
