Retail and leisure commercial property agency Box Property has reached six months in business and is already looking to expand its team.
The West Bridgford-based firm, which was set by Ben Tebbutt and Frankie Labbate earlier this year, has experienced considerable growth in its infancy which has resulted in the duo needing to extend their team.
Over the last six months, Box Property has become the go-to agency for major landlords both locally and nationally and to accommodate the success of the young business, the firm is looking for a surveyor to join the team.
Ben said: “We set up Box Property to be a modern and fresh alternative to the commercial property market. We have no targets except to use our market knowledge and proactive approach to provide the best possible service to our clients, without the corporate stuffiness of traditional surveying firms.
“Our first six months have been fantastic and business has exceeded our expectations. We have worked hard to create an offer that suits the needs of the type pf businesses we want to work with at the same time as making the most of Frankie and my skills, and clients have responded really well to this approach.
“We are inspired and enthused by how our first six months in business has gone and are overwhelmed by the amount of support we have had locally and nationally. We felt the marketplace needed a fresh approach and it’s paid off. We are working with some incredible businesses and are really grateful to our clients for choosing us.”
Frankie added: “The majority of our work takes us all over the UK but our roots will always be in Nottingham; a vibrant city that is the ideal base for us.
“With any new business, delivery is key and that is our focus. We have embedded ourselves in the communities our clients operate in as well as within their businesses which allows us to act most efficiently for them.
“I’m proud that we are already at six months and are busy and what’s great is we are growing alongside many of our clients who are also driven and expanding.
“Taking on a specialist surveyor will enable us to continue that growth and deliver the best possible service. It’s an exciting time for Ben and I and an excellent opportunity for like-minded people to join us.”
The self-proclaimed ‘trend-spotters’ use their expertise and experience to identify innovative businesses that have the potential to expand out of their current city base into new territories and this strategy has served them well over the last six months.
On the current state of the commercial property industry Box Property says it will always be a hard-heeled commercial market but Nottingham continues to be in demand.
Ben continues: “National operators no longer roll out stores across the UK and both chains and independents need to deliver an authentic experience in genuine environments and that’s why creative and cultural areas, such as Hockley and the Lace Market in Nottingham, provide such opportunities.
“We have a deep understanding of the sector, its opportunities and challenges and this enables us to provide relevant and timely advice to operators.
“Nottingham continues to be on the radar for national brands as well as expanding independents. The city’s central location will always be a pull and we are seeing particular interest from the North West.
“Over the next six months we hope for more of the same; business growth, excellent delivery and potentially further offices in other cities.”
Box Property is working with a myriad of local and national brands including Universal Works, West Cornwall Pasty Company, Bunk Bar, Clean Cut, 200° Coffee, Iberico, Cow Clothing, QD Stores and Ideal Care Homes.
