Harris Lamb’s Planning Consultancy has appointed a graduate planner to its expanding team.
Olivia Morris joins the business with a First-Class Honours Degree in Human Geography from Aberystwyth, and is now being supported by her colleagues as she works towards a Masters degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Birmingham.
Olivia, who graduated in July this year, joins the nine-strong planning team having been attracted to the breadth of its skillset and diversity of projects it managed.
“Throughout my time at university I was always fascinated with urban studies and particularly the way that cities and towns are developed and built,” said Olivia.
“The central focus of my Dissertation thesis was based around Gentrification and development/planning within Wolverhampton, and I was attracted to the diversity that a planning career offers and the opportunity to be actively involved in the shaping of spaces and decisions that positively affect how people live and supporting new jobs and homes.
”I was attracted to Harris Lamb not only because of the excellent reputation that the company upholds but because of the variety of projects that I would have the opportunity to be part of,” she added.
Patrick Downes, Director of Planning, said: “We are delighted that Olivia has chosen to start her career with us. She has already shown herself to be an extremely enthusiastic and committed member of the team.
“Her commitment to both developing her experience within the business and in furthering her knowledge and education with her second degree is impressive, and we have no doubt that she will flourish in this role and prove herself an asset to the business.”
