Eyewear brand Ollie Quinn (OQ) has opened their first store in Wales following the acquisition of 89 Queen Street, in Cardiff’s prime pitch, advised by Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP.
The store occupies a prominent corner position close to household names including Next, Costa, WH Smith and The Carphone Warehouse and is located opposite to the entrance to the Capitol Shopping Centre.
A new 10 year lease was agreed and OQ will trade on both ground and first floor levels.
Richard Saunders of Hartnell Taylor Cook said: “Ollie Quinn is an independent company who offer their own range of designer eyewear and sunglasses at a very reasonable single price of £98 including prescription lenses. They will greatly enhance the spectacle offer which should do very well in such a style conscious City.”
Ollie Quinn design all the frames in-house, whilst using the best quality material and even have the cutting of prescription lenses locally, OQ only sell their frames via its own boutiques so that they are able to provide premium and creative designs at an affordable price.
The new store will also provide eye examinations. As part of OQ’s commitment, friendly, highly trained in-store optometrists offer eye exams to ensure eye health is at the core of every decision for customers. A full eye test takes about 30 minutes, after which a dedicated team of stylists will help customers find the perfect pair of frames for their face. In store, the OQ optometrists can also help customers with high index and varifocal prescriptions.
David Garrett of Ollie Quinn said: “we try to make life easy as our exclusive range of frames come with everything you need and are all offered at one affordable price. If it doesn’t cost us more, we don’t want it to cost you more. We are very excited to be in South Wales.”
