Proposals to create a 52-acre car storage facility for Jaguar Land Rover in Staffordshire are set to be unveiled at public consultations this month, Stoford Developments has announced.
The proposed £40 million development on land at Stone Business Park would create up to 75 new jobs for local people and provide secure storage facilities for around 6,500 new vehicles.
The plans will be submitted to Stafford Borough Council following a two-day public consultation Stone House Hotel, Stafford Road, Stone, on October 17 and 18, from 4:30pm to 7pm. Local residents and other interested parties are invited to attend to learn more about the development.
Stoford director Tony Nash said: “This development will bring significant inward investment into the county and will represent a major commitment to the region by Jaguar Land Rover, one of the world’s leading luxury car makers.
“The 52-acre site will primarily act as a new vehicle distribution centre accommodating up to 6,500 vehicles. It will provide the manufacturer with a high quality national delivery hub in a central location with excellent links to the motorway network. A highly secure site, it will also be very well landscaped to limit the impact on the surrounding area as much as possible.”
He added: “We would encourage anyone that may be interested in learning more about the development, or who would like to express their opinions, to come along to the two-day consultation so that their views can be taken into account by the planning committee.”
