Commercial property consultancy Knight Frank, which has its regional headquarters in Clifton, Bristol, won the national Industrial Adviser of the Year 2017 awards at this year’s Estates Gazette Awards.
Knight Frank’s industrial agency team beat major competitors to win the award for the first time. The firm was judged to be the best in the UK by leading commercial property trade magazine Estates Gazette.
Russell Crofts, who heads Knight Frank’s industrial agency team in Bristol said: “The result reflects the strength of collaboration between the firm’s regional and London teams across both the investment and leasing sides of the industrial property business – a link that differentiates Knight Frank from its competition.”
This year has seen the Industrial team go from strength to strength, building on the record-breaking performance of 2015-16 by setting new records in 2016-17, outperforming its competitors and winning market share in key industrial locations.
In the South West, Knight Frank has been involved in many of the region’s largest industrial transactions of recent times, including those at Central Park, Severnside, where DHL has recently acquired 15 acres for a 160,000 sq ft Regional Distribution Centre (RDC), and Amazon has acquired 33.5 acres for the construction of a new 1.25m sq ft fulfilment centre.
Earlier Knight Frank deals on the Central Park site were a 1.2m sq ft transaction for retailer The Range, the purchase of 33 acres by Lidl to build a 600,000 sq ft development, Davies Turner’s acquisition of 12 acres to build a 130,000 sq ft building and Mountpark acquiring 20 acres to build a speculative scheme of 400,000 sq ft.
