Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Nicholas West to an analytics and research role within its growing Healthcare Advisory team.
West joins from NHS Property Services, the property and facilities manager for the NHS Estate, where he worked on notable projects including the reprovision of space at Hythe Hospital, Southampton, and the redevelopment of Emsworth Hospital, Hampshire.
In his new role at Cushman & Wakefield, West will provide financial modelling and analytics to the healthcare valuation and transactional teams, ensuring that the teams provide accurate and fully-informed insight to clients.
West said: “Cushman & Wakefield has developed an enviable track record and client list within the healthcare sector. I’m looking forward to working with Martin Robb, James Hanson and my new colleagues to further expand our sector-specific research and insight capability.”
Martin Robb, Head of Healthcare Advisory, Cushman & Wakefield, added: “The healthcare market is evolving rapidly, and now more than ever, it is vital that we provide our clients with forward-looking and insightful market analytics. By doing so we help clients anticipate challenges and assess opportunities as they present themselves.”
West will be based within the healthcare team at the firm’s West End offices. He is the most recent new joiner, following the arrival of Gary Yeardley earlier this year, in a team which has grown rapidly since being established last year.
Cushman & Wakefield’s London Markets team also this month appointed the capital’s leading independent healthcare specialist David Kerr, of David Kerr Associates Healthcare Property (DKAhp), to lead its activity in central London. Kerr will work closely with Robb’s national Healthcare Advisory team.
