Harris Lamb has let a trade unit in Crewe to electrical retail group Edmundson Electrical on a 10-year lease.
The business was instructed to let the 3,300 sq ft trade counter unit at Counterpoint, Weston Road, by Custodian Capital following the vacation of its previous tenant, Plumbase.
The unit was let at £8.50 per sq ft to the business, which will operate one of its Electric Centers from the site.
Becky Thomas, of Harris Lamb’s Stoke office, oversaw the deal and said: “As a modern building in an established commercial location, and with neighbours including Formula One Autocentres and Topps Tiles, there was a great deal of interest in this premises.
“Following Plumbase’s vacation, we were able to secure Edmundson Electrical as a new tenant within a very short period, and we’re delighted that the business has committed to a 10-year lease at the site.
“There is a high demand for good quality units within the wider Cheshire and Staffordshire areas at present, and while we have an additional 1,800 sq ft available on-site, there is a high appetite from occupiers for similar units of this specification, so it’s a great time for landlords wishing to market such opportunities,” she said.
Chris Edwards, branch manager of Electric Center, said: “This is a superb location for the new store. Edmundson Electrical operates more than 250 retail outlets UK-wide and this one is particularly well appointed.
“Its close proximity to the motorway network, and the fact that it’s a well-known estate with plenty of complementary businesses operating alongside us, made it a very desirable premises.”
