Following their recent purchase and refurbishment of 1320 Solihull Parkway Quartz Investments LLP has secured the largest office letting in Solihull and the M42 corridor this year, with the lease of more than 20,000 sq ft of grade A refurbished office space.
Property consultants KWB and JLL jointly acted on behalf of Quartz Investments LLP in the letting of 20,774 sq ft of office space on the ground and first floor of 1320 Solihull Parkway, Birmingham Business Park, Birmingham, West Midlands, B37 7YB, to BCA Logistics on a new institutional 10 year lease, at a quoting rent of £17.50psf.
BCA Logistics is the UK’s largest provider of vehicle remarketing logistics services in the automotive sector. The company is re-locating from 11,000 sq ft office premises at 3700 Parkside, Birmingham Business Park, which KWB will be bringing to market on behalf of landlord Changan Automotive, one of China’s largest automotive manufacturers.
“BCA Logistics was initially looking for a large single floorplate of 15,000 sq ft which was what first drew them to 1320 Solihull Parkway. When they realised they would actually require more space, BCA also opted to take the remaining 5,600 sq ft on the building’s ground floor,” says Mark Robinson, Director in KWB’s Office Agency team.
Birmingham Business Park is the region’s premier business park, home to an impressive range of occupiers, including EE, Fujitsu, Beiersdorf and Rolls-Royce.
Located to the east of Birmingham city centre, Birmingham Business Park has excellent transport links. It is close to M42 Junction 6 and M6 Junction 4, Birmingham International train station, Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre.
Rob Large, director of Birmingham Business Park, says: “We’re really pleased that BCA Logistics has committed its long-term future to Birmingham Business Park and that we were able to accommodate its on-going expansion.
“The investment that has been made in the Park has delivered significant improvements, with better on-site facilities and amenities, such as the outdoor gym, food stalls, health and well-being clubs and classes, and refurbished office space, which is helping to both attract and retain occupiers.”
