Leading palletised distribution specialist Freightroute is expanding its Hampshire operation with a move into new premises in Eastleigh.
The company is to move from its current home on the Tower Industrial Lane, Eastleigh, after taking a lease on a new 27,166 sq ft distribution facility a short distance away at Stoke Park.
South Coast commercial property agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Vail Williams acted as joint agents in leasing the property, securing a 10-year-lease.
Acting on advice from LSH, the landlord took measures to make the building attractive for rental, including £200,000 refurbishment and separation works and the installation of new fittings. Freightroute is due to take occupancy in September.
Adrian Whitfield, Director, Industrial for LSH’s South Coast offices, said: “We were able to make several constructive recommendations to the landlord in the interests of securing a good return on this superb, large, modern unit.
“As a result, the completed building was leased swiftly, reflecting the ongoing high levels of demand for good quality industrial warehousing and distribution facilities in the region.”
Bryan Mounch, FD at Freightroute Ltd, said: “This unit and its location are a perfect fit for Freightroute as we continue to expand our operations in Hampshire and around the UK.
“This straightforward yet strategic move will enable us to continue to grow in the region, benefiting our customers and strengthening our presence in the area.”
