Leading UK housebuilder Bellway Homes Ltd has agreed a lease at newly-refurbished office space at Aztec West near Bristol, owned by landlords Robert Hitchins Ltd.
Bellway is taking the first floor, totalling 7,452 sq ft, of the two-storey 2540 Aztec West on a 10-year lease with a five-year break.
One of the most successful house builders in the UK, it has grown from a small family-owned firm and now employs more than 2,000 people in offices all over the UK.
Simon Tothill, Property and Development Director for Robert Hitchins Ltd, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Bellway to 2540 Aztec West. It’s prime office space in a great location at the entance to the Aztec West business park.”
The 14,702 sq ft property on the M4/M5 interchange was purchased by Gloucestershire-based developer Robert Hitchins last year and has since undergone a complete refurbishment.
Real estate specialists Colliers International and JLL represented Robert Hitchins, and Davison Blackett represented Bellway.
James Preece, national offices director for Colliers International, said keen interest was anticipated in the remaining space on the ground floor of 2540 Aztec West (7,250 sq ft).
“The property offers high-specification, open-plan office space in a prominent position at the front of Bristol’s premier business park, which has a wealth of well-known occupiers and excellent transport connections,” he said.
Ian Wills of JLL added: “The recent refurbishment has resulted in the addition of LED lighting, new WC and shower facilities, and a secure bike store. Other benefits include a passenger lift, landscaped grounds, 77 parking spaces and a range of excellent amenities within walking distance.”
