The British Council for Offices (BCO) has launched its search for young rising stars of the commercial property industry.
It is encouraging colleagues and employers of property professionals under the age of 35 across the Midlands to nominate them for the Rising Star Award. People nominated are to be amongst the office sector’s brightest performers and these young professionals can also nominate themselves if they wish.
The BCO NextGen committee members will judge the nominees, with the winners from each region across the country announced at the BCO NextGen Awards ceremony on November 15. Entries are also encouraged for the Mentor of the Year Award, celebrating those who have inspired the next generation of office talent.
BCO NextGen provides an invaluable opportunity to young professionals in the commercial property sector to share ideas, develop knowledge and build a network of contacts with other members from across the country as they progress through their career.
Members come from a variety of backgrounds including architects, agents, surveyors and property managers. It is the only multi-disciplinary membership organisation for the office sector in the UK.
Joe Vale, BCO Midlands NextGen committee member, said: “There is no shortage of amazing young property talent across the region. These awards allow us to celebrate and empower the people who are the future of the office sector, and highlight the great projects they have been a part of in their careers to date.
“This award is in its second year but is much coveted. Last year’s event was a great success and a sell out, an outcome we are expecting this year too.”
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, September 22. The shortlist will be revealed on Friday, October 13. For more information go to http://www.bco.org.uk/Events or to make a nomination go to http://bconextgen.co.uk/nominations/
