Two Midlands lawyers will be handling briefs of a different kind after agreeing to model underwear in support of a breast cancer charity.
Dawn Mobbs and Tracy Cross, of Coventry-based Band Hatton solicitors, agreed to model underwear at a Warwickshire Law Society fashion charity fundraising event for Breakthrough Breast Cancer if their colleagues in the professional sector raised £1,000 for the charity.
The figure pledged has now surpassed the £1,200 mark which means the duo will be hitting the catwalk on May 25 at the Dunchurch Park Hotel in Rugby.
The lingerie exhibition is just part of a host of events on the evening which has been organised purely for female members of Warwickshire Law Society with the aim of raising as much money as possible for Breakthrough.
As well as the fashion show, there will be music, gift bags, stalls selling handbags, costume jewellery and cupcakes as well as a charity raffle.
Dawn, who is also president of the Warwickshire Law Society, said: “When we suggested we would take part in the catwalk show if people raised £1,000 for the charity we never thought it might actually happen!
“We are nervous, but it is all for a very worthy and important cause and we are delighted to do all we can to support it.
“Even though we have hit our target, we are still taking donations, so we would encourage people to contribute anything they possibly can.”
