Leading music production and technology education provider dBs Music is to expand its provision after agreeing a lease for Location House in Bristol.
The prominent 14,147 sq ft building, at the corner of Dove Lane and Wilson Street in St Paul’s, has been let on a 10-year lease with five year break from a private landlord, jointly advised by Colliers International and Maggs & Allen.
This will facilitate the launch of dBs’ new sister brand The Institute of Digital Creatives, which will deliver a range of specialist training in fields such as games development and virtual reality.
Andrew Frost, surveyor in the Development Advisory and Agency team in the Bristol office of Colliers International, said: “This letting secures a long term future for Location House in the hands of well-established education provider, which we hope will be of benefit to the area as a whole.”
Toby Fisher, partner at Maggs & Allen, added: “Location House was the ideal home for dBs Music and the speed with which the transaction progressed resulted in a rental void of under two weeks for the landlord.”
Courses provided by dBs Music, which was established in 1998, include degrees and diplomas. There is already a dBs Music premises in St. Thomas Street in Bristol, in addition to premises in Cornwall, Plymouth and Berlin.
