Commercial property specialists Bulleys has maintained its award-winning level of deals in the first six months of 2017, despite a general shortage of industrial sites and properties.
The chartered surveyors, which has offices in Wolverhampton, Oldbury and Telford, was recently named both ‘Industrial Winner’ and ‘Overall Winner’ for the West Midlands in the EGi Deals Competition for 2016.
The awards came after the company transacted nearly 2.5m sq ft of industrial space in 2016, along with a large amount of office space.
Rod Spiby, partner at Bulleys, said: “We were delighted to receive the awards which reflected the dedicated hard work undertaken by our agency team.
“The awards also further underlined our long-established reputation as local and regional specialists in the field of industrial and commercial property consultancy within the West Midlands.”
Mr Spiby said that the market had remained “very active” in 2017, and that Bulleys had matched the year-on-year levels of deals transacted in the first six months of the year.
He said: “We are enjoying continued success despite a general shortage of existing new or modern facilities, due to little or no new build during the recessionary years.
“This has resulted in many more discussions with developers for building bespoke units on land reserved for ‘design and build’ projects, and it’s good to see many new schemes coming out of the ground and completed buildings within the region.”
The EGi Deals citation reads: “The West Midlands is geographically well-situated to house industrial and distribution facilities, and the importance of this to the overall mix can be seen in the way Bulleys has taken the top position thanks almost entirely to a barnstorming performance in industrial.”
Mr Spiby added: “From the smallest local unit to multi-million pound schemes, Bulleys provides the right blend of skills and personalities.
“Our hands-on approach – which benefits from more than 50 years’ experience – continues to prove vital when it comes to working efficiently and effectively to exceed client requirements and expectations.”
