Shelly Wainwright, a wills, probate and tax planning specialist at Lichfield and Cannock law firm Ansons has been promoted to associate in her tenth year of being a qualified solicitor.
Mrs Wainwright joined the firm in 1999 as a trainee solicitor, having graduated from the University of Sheffield. She studied the Legal Practice Course at the University of Central England qualifying as a solicitor two years later in 2001.
Commenting on her promotion she said: “I am delighted about my promotion as I’m firmly committed to Ansons and since qualifying as a solicitor I have remained dedicated to learning and professional development.” Indeed, Mrs Wainwright is currently studying for the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners’ diploma. STEP is the principal professional body and is recognised as the quality mark for professionals in the trust and estate administration sector.

The promotion comes on the back of a successful year for the department which in a difficult economic climate has increased its client base in Staffordshire, particularly within Cannock and Lichfield, and been recognised in the Legal 500 directory of the top 500 UK law firms.
