Three longstanding members of staff at Building Services Design (BSD) have received promotions across two of its nationwide offices.
Joel Sawyer has been promoted to director, heading up the company’s Birmingham office with Jo Jones joining him as an associate director. Mark Dyer has also been announced at the Cambridge office’s new director – having been at BSD for almost 15 years.
“We’re committed to promoting from within and rewarding our staff for their service and dedication,” said David White, director at BSD.
“Joel, Jo and Mark have been at BSD for almost 40 years collectively and have all worked on a number of high profile projects across the UK during their time with us. I wish them all the best in their new roles and look forward to seeing them continue to support our award-winning services across the country,” added David.
Joel, who is responsible for the engineering team in Birmingham, joined in 2005. He said: “I enjoy the working environment at BSD; our collaborative working ethos and the support we receive means that we’re able to complete projects efficiently and on budget – consistently beating deadlines and producing high quality work for our clients.
“My new role will see me continue to manage and oversee the wide range of projects we deliver in Birmingham and the West Midlands – it’s an exciting time for the M&E industry in the region and I look forward to consolidating BSD’s place as a leader in the market.”
Jo Jones will be supporting Joel in her new role as an associate director and business development and marketing at the Birmingham office. She said: “I’ve been at BSD for almost 10 years, joining as a CAD technician and office administrator. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to get involved in the business development side of BSD which means I’m able to network and form strong client relationships.
“I’m extremely proud to have been promoted to associate director and look forward to continue to promote our services across the West Midlands – and beyond.”
The company has consolidated its services, bringing new employees to its Birmingham office, boosting recruitment and supporting a number of major new projects in the region.
At the company’s Cambridge office, Mark Dyer is delighted to have been promoted to director.
“I strive to achieve the highest possible quality and standards across all of our projects and believe that this is something we’re known for delivering at BSD.
“I’ve been at the Cambridge office now for four years and look forward to getting more involved in the strategic elements to the business – securing more work across a variety of sectors,” said Mark.
BSD has offices across the UK – located in Kettering, London, Cambridge, Birmingham Manchester, Derby and Nottingham – and is developing a stronger Midlands presence with an office restructure due to take place in the region.
