Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) and Dowley Turner Real Estate (DTRE) have been appointed to market two new industrial units on a growing West Midlands distribution park with highly-regarded occupiers including Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover.
Griffen UK have instructed the agents to secure occupants for units four and five at Wellesbourne Distribution Park, located five miles south of junction 15 of the M40.
The site was acquired by Griffen in February 2015 and at the time it comprised 585,000 sq ft of occupied accommodation across 10 units. The company has since added 450,000 sq ft.
The 51,500 sq ft and 66,500 sq ft units currently under construction are expected to reach practical completion in Q4 of this year. They form the final third phase of the business park’s expansion.
Jamie Catherall at DTRE said: “Since acquiring this site, Griffen UK has nearly doubled its size and attracted some very reputable occupiers.
“It has become a very sought-after location, and its reputation is only growing. It boasts excellent transport links too, and is strategically located at the centre of the UK distribution network.”
Matthew Tilt at LSH added: “The units will be of the highest quality once construction is completed, and we are expecting high levels of interest in them. Availability of good modern units in this size range continues to fall whilst the region continues to see robust occupier demand.”
Wellesbourne Distribution Park is a 59-acre secure site at Loxley Road, Wellesbourne. As well as its close proximity to the M40 motorway, its location also provides fast access to the towns of Warwick and Leamington Spa via the A429.
Due to its central location all major UK airports and Southampton port are reached within a two-hour drive. Other major occupiers include DAF Trucks and the Amethyst Group.
