Ground breaking Niche Hospitality is about to launch the latest in its stable with the opening of Sixteen, an ‘edgy’ steak and chicken joint in Newport.
Sixteen an innovative sharing eatery at 16 High Street, Newport, will have a ‘soft’ opening on Saturday, September 30.
Newport-based Niche Hospitality also successfully operates critically acclaimed fine dining cocktails restaurant Mojo the FoodBar also the Riverside Bar and Kitchen in Clarence Place, Newport
Niche Hospitality co-owners Lewis Lewis and Seng Koh, said:”Sixteen is something really exciting and new for the city of Newport. The menu centres on first class steak sourced from around the world including from Argentina and Wales as well as first class chicken and all prepared fresh and in house for convivial sharing.
“Paired with seasonal starters and scrummy puddings we’re confident it’ll inject a blast of fresh air into the independent restaurant scene in the city
“Sixteen set in Newport High Street close to the city’s historic provisions market is bang in the heart of the rejuvenated city. It’s just over the road from fast establishing Slipping Jimmy’s live music place, next door to the soon to open Le Public Place and just up the road from Tiny Rebel.
“Sixteen will also offer a wide selection of spirits wines and cocktails from around the world and stage live music.
Featuring three unique spaces including the lobby, the restaurant and the terrace customers will also be encouraged to hire the entire venue for a special occasion.
Sixteen will be open on Wednesday to Thursday from 5pm to 11pm; on Friday and Saturday from 11am to 2am and on Sun from 11.30am to 8pm
Mojo The FoodBar which delivered a taste of London’s hipster Shoreditch food scene to Newport when it opened two years ago and a taste of Dubai with the launch of its Bottomless Brunch has continued to push the boundary ever since. The restaurant recently launched the Bottomless Gin Brunch and this month it hosts The Newport Gin Festival
The fine dining restaurant recently celebrated after receiving a coveted Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence is awarded to restaurants and other establishments based on favourable Trip Advisor ratings and reviews received from customers.
The Riverside Bar and Kitchen, adjacent to Mojo the FoodBar, has undergone a complete transformation after being taken on and totally re envisaged by Niche Hospitality over recent months.
