Accountancy specialist Kilsby Williams has expanded its Business Service Team with the appointment of three recent graduates: Alex Wellard as Business Services Senior Assistant and Kathryn Hof and Thomas Furnell as Accounts and Audit Assistants.
After graduating from the University of Southampton in 2014 with a 2:1 in BSc Politics and International Relations, Alex worked for two years at MHA MacIntyre Hudson in Kent, as an audit and accounts junior and semi-senior before being offered a position as Business Services Senior with Kilsby Williams. His main responsibilities include the preparation of accounts from client records, auditing of small and medium sized company accounts, and VAT return preparation.
Kathryn, who grew up in Bridgend, South Wales, is 22. She graduated with a 1st Class honours degree in Business Management & Accounting from Swansea University. At Kilsby Williams, part of Kathryn’s role will be preparing end of year accounts for clients and visiting clients to conduct audits.
Thomas, 22, is originally from Guilford, Surrey, and graduated last year from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Mathematics. This is his first role in accountancy, but he has already demonstrated that his expertise in mathematics and informatics, as well as his excellent customer service skills, enable him to quickly liaise with clients and efficiently process their data.
Ataf Salim, partner at Kilsby Williams, said “We are pleased to have Thomas, Kathryn and Alex on board and these new appointments will bring strength to our expanding business services department.
“Kilsby Williams’ clients will benefit from the new starters’ unfailing motivation, and from their high organisational and communication competences.”
