The popular and well supported local Gymnastics Club, previously located within the leisure facility known as “Parkfield”, needed to look for new premises following a request by the landlords for the unit to be retained.
Nicci Tucker, General Manager of this great club began the search for new, larger premises which quickly lead her towards a sizeable light industrial unit within the Yalberton Industrial Estate in Paignton.
The vacant light industrial unit, approximately 10,000 square foot, largely open planned with a corner mezzanine, parking to the front and a large rear yard for overflow parking ticked all of the boxes and more. Mrs Tucker was quick to see the potential the premises offered and agreed terms to take on the lease – South Devon School of Gymnastics had found a new home!
James Sanders from Charles Darrow said, “The demand for sizeable leisure facilities for local clubs and organisations in the area is increasing significantly”
“Due to the floor space required, such organisations are focusing their attention within industrial units, as there are just not enough purpose-built facilities in the area”
“Local councils will need to be more open to change of use proposals unless further investment is granted to produce more facilities that are designed to house such great, local clubs like South Devon School of Gymnastics”
