The prestigious £120million Bridgwater Gateway business park at J24 M5 in Somerset has appointed global real estate specialist Colliers International as commercial property agent.

Final infrastructure work is now on site at the scheme, which is set in over 100 landscaped acres and will feature a range of high-quality modern office and commercial buildings, including a new 150 bedroom 4-star hotel with conference facilities.

Phil Wade, Development Manager for Bridgwater Gateway, said: “With a full detailed planning permission in place and entrance roads created with all the services, we are now in a position to deliver new buildings within 12 months, and we are delighted to be working with Colliers International to take the project forward with occupiers”.

Tim Davies, head of the South West office of Colliers International, commented: “Bridgwater Gateway is a visionary project that will provide the high-specification facilities required by leading businesses at this key gateway location for the South West.

“Location is without doubt the most important criteria for successful property schemes, and this project could not have better connections to the motorway.

“The proximity of Bridgwater Gateway to the Hinkley Point C nuclear power station brings a further dimension to the significance of this scheme, and Colliers International is delighted to have been appointed as commercial property agent.”

Bridgwater Gateway is the newest business park development on the M5 corridor, and final infrastructure work currently underway will involve extension of the existing estate road across the whole of Phase 1 of the development, and the extension of the utilities to the individual plots.

The first phase the development has recently been released. Strong demand is anticipated for prime plots with road frontage to the A38 and Huntworth roundabout, and already there are a number of deals where solicitors have been instructed.

A range of new office and commercial buildings will be delivered in the first phase of the development, including a new 150 bed 4* hotel with conferencing facilities which is due on site in late 2017. Grade A self-contained office buildings are available from 7,215sq ft upwards and these are capable of being split to accommodate smaller requirements.
