Storage Giant is a Newport based property development and investment company that opened its first landmark 50,000 sq. ft. self storage facility in Newport in 2007, to rival national brands, such as Big Yellow and Safestore, who already operated in South Wales. The contemporary and hi-tech approach went down well with customers and Storage Giant soon went on to open its second huge facility on Newport Road in Cardiff back in 2009. Demand was so strong that at the same time they were developing Cardiff they also doubled the number of self storage units at their original Newport superstore.
The distinctive blue silver and orange can now be found on the Enterprise park in Swansea as Storage Giant continue their expansion throughout South Wales. The new superstore is located next to the recently opened Selco builders merchant on Upper Fforest Way, just across the road from Asda. The three storey building features over 400 secure self storage units in a variety of sizes to suit a range of commercial and domestic needs – from 10 sq. ft. lockers ideally suited for students in holiday times, right up to a 500 sq ft. storage room which would suit a business or tradesman with larger storage needs. All of the space is totally secure with a vast array of hi-tech security consisting of 24/7 CCTV as well unique PIN codes for access at all times of the day and night. They even offer 24/7 access for those who really need it.
Storage Giant also offers business’s, tradesman and eBay sellers flexi office suites at all their superstores. These hi spec flexible office suites, which are all inclusive, afford the convenience of having a storage unit located close to your office, but without any long term commitment.
Storage Giant is the brainchild of Newport businessman Simon Williams who first experienced self storage, while living and working in Florida. He redeveloped the idea and then brought it to South Wales with an offering that beats the competition on price, flexibility, and customer service, even boasting a free collection and delivery service.
Simon has developed a number of commercial sites in recent years, including the highly successful business park, Estuary Court, which is located in Newport. Simon went on to say that “We are determined to offer a new self storage experience for customers who visit our facilities and we intend to build a national business based on superior pricing, technology and service.”
