A Midlands-based recycling and resource management company has expanded into a new site in Leamington and is taking on additional staff to cope with demand.
Fortress Recycling and Resource Management is developing its site in Heathcote Industrial Estate, in Leamington, to include a materials processing facility.
The family business, which has more than 30 years of industry experience, has also expanded into a second site on the industrial estate which will be used for storage to make way for the new facility.
It has taken on the new site in Collins Road after agreeing a six-year lease with commercial property agents Reeves & Partners.
The recycling firm is also taking on an additional 20 members of staff to cope with the increased demand as it expands.
David Pass, of Fortress Recycling and Resource Management, said: “We strive to maintain our reputation as a market leader in the waste recycling industry, and as part of this we are putting in a materials processing facility.
“This facility recovers commodities such as paper, cardboard, plastic and aluminium cans using the latest optical sorting technology and will improve our business as it is one of the most technically advanced material recycling facilities in the UK.
“As part of our expansion we are employing an additional 20 people. Some of the roles have already been filled, however we are still recruiting and would like to hear from interested candidates.
“We were delighted to agree the lease on our new site in Collins Road with Reeves & Partners which has helped facilitate our expansion plans.
“The site is in an ideal location and will be used to store containers previously based at our headquarters on the industrial estate.”
Reeves & Partners also agreed a lease on a second site in Collins Road with Cathedral Motor Company Ltd.
Richard Pomfret, of Reeves and Partners, said it is important to help local companies grow and ensure that they remain in the area.
He said: “Fortress Recycling and Resource Management is a long-standing and well-respected family business and it is excellent to see them expand within the industrial estate.
“It is very important to help facilitate the growth of companies like Fortress which bring new jobs to the area and help the local economy grow.”
