The St. Michael’s Partnership is providing the public with another opportunity to see design features of its revised plans for the city centre site at Jackson’s Row.
Held in July, the first consultation prompted a positive response with the preservation of Bootle Street Police Station and the Sir Ralph Abercromby pub being welcomed by the majority of respondents. The scheme was redesigned and amended in response to feedback from the public and key stakeholders.
The second consultation will provide people with an opportunity to view the latest designs for the project including further detail on the facades and treatments of the commercial, residential and hotel. The exhibition will also reveal the intention around the design and animation of the outdoor spaces.
The event forms part of an ongoing consultation process, which will continue until the final plans are submitted in a planning application to Manchester City Council in the autumn.
Members of the public are therefore once again welcome to attend to view the plans, discuss the proposals with key members of the St Michael’s project team and provide valued feedback.
Venue: The Grand Hall, Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester
Entrance: Cross Street and Deansgate
Date and Time: Wednesday 23rd August, from 11am to 7pm
Gary Neville, on behalf of The St Michael’s Partnership, said: “We were extremely encouraged by the positive response following our last consultation held in July.
“We’re more committed than ever to ensuring that St. Michael’s will become a world-class development recognised for its quality in design and highest quality of service, and we look forward to presenting our plans later this month.”
